Description

The Baicells Nova246 is a high-power LTE TDD base station designed for outdoor deployments in the 3.5 GHz CBRS Band 48. With support for dual carriers and 2x20W output power, the Nova246 enables large-scale private network coverage with fewer radios per site. Each carrier operates as an independent cell with 2x2 MIMO and up to 96 concurrent users, making it well suited for industrial, campus, and rural broadband environments.

The Nova246 supports channel bandwidths of 5, 10, 15, or 20 MHz and can be operated in single- or dual-carrier mode. It features flexible backhaul with both Ethernet and fiber ports, IP66 weatherproofing, and GPS-based synchronization. It can operate with external EPCs or Baicells’ embedded HaloB core. This model supports Band 48 (3550–3700 MHz).

Deployment Requirements

To deploy the Baicells Nova246, you’ll need:

  • SAS registration: Required for CBRS Band 48 use.
  • IP backhaul: Public or private IP backhaul via Ethernet or SFP fiber. IPsec support is built in.
  • EPC or core network: Compatible with external EPCs or embedded HaloB EPC for standalone operation.
  • Power and mounting: Nominal -48V DC input with support for AC adapters. Includes pole or wall mounting options.
  • GPS antenna for synchronization: External GPS antenna required (N-Type connector).
  • Antennas: External high-gain directional or sector antennas required. Two antenna ports with N-Type connectors.
  • Environmental considerations: IP66-rated enclosure. Operates from -40°C to 55°C. Max power draw 180W.
