Description
The Nova430e is a two-carrier LTE TDD outdoor eNodeB that supports external antennas, providing greater flexibility for RF planning and installation. It operates in either Carrier Aggregation (CA) mode for increased throughput or Dual Carrier (DC) mode for split-sector applications.
In CA mode, two component carriers are aggregated to deliver up to 40 MHz bandwidth and improved data rates for compatible UEs. In DC mode, the unit operates as two independent cells, each supporting up to 96 concurrent users. The external antenna architecture allows for directional control and optimization of coverage based on the deployment environment.
The Nova430e includes Baicells’ HaloB embedded EPC for standalone LTE operation, reducing infrastructure requirements for private network rollouts. It supports CBRS and other TDD bands and is compatible with Baicells CloudCore or third-party EPCs.
Deployment Requirements
To deploy the Nova430e, you’ll need:
- Access to licensed TDD spectrum (e.g., Band 48 for CBRS, 42/43)
- External antennas (1x 4-port or 2x 2-port configurations)
- IP backhaul (DHCP/static, with IPSec as needed)
- Mounting and power (compatible with Baicells UPS solutions)
- Remote or local management access and optional HaloB setup
Our team can assist with spectrum considerations, antenna selection, core integration, and performance tuning.
