Description
The AirLink MP70 is a rugged LTE-Advanced Pro router designed for in-vehicle networking and field connectivity. With CBRS Band 48 support and Cat 12 LTE performance, it delivers reliable connectivity for mission-critical mobile deployments across public safety, utilities, and industrial fleets.
Built for demanding mobile environments, the MP70 supports secure data, video, and voice services across police cruisers, ambulances, utility trucks, and mobile command centers. It creates a secure, multi-device Vehicle Area Network (VAN), with integrated GPS/GNSS and dual-band Wi-Fi options. The MP70 supports private networking, and its proven performance has made it a proven choice for public safety deployments nationwide.
The router includes 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports, an RS-232 serial port, a USB interface, and dedicated ports for cellular, diversity, and GNSS antennas. With dual-band 3x3 Wi-Fi and up to 128 connected clients, the MP70 is capable of streaming video, supporting mobile data terminals, and providing hotspot access in the field. Its IP64-rated enclosure is MIL-STD-810G tested for vibration, shock, and thermal resilience, and it's certified for railway and hazardous environments.
This variant includes LTE Cat 12 with support for CBRS Band 48 and public safety Band 14. It delivers peak downlink speeds up to 600 Mbps and supports both U.S. and global LTE and 3G bands.
Key Features
Connectivity & Network Support
- The MP70 supports LTE Cat 12 with peak speeds up to 600 Mbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink. It operates on a broad range of LTE and WCDMA bands including CBRS Band 48, Band 14 (FirstNet), and Bands 1–43, depending on region. Dual SIM support enables seamless roaming or failover between networks.
- Optional 3x3 MIMO Wi-Fi provides dual-band support (2.4/5 GHz) with simultaneous AP/client mode, captive portal, and WPA2 Enterprise security. Up to 128 concurrent clients are supported.
Physical Design & Power
- Housed in a durable IP64-rated enclosure, the MP70 is certified to MIL-STD-810G for vibration, shock, and thermal extremes. It operates in temperatures from -22°F to 158°F and includes wide DC voltage input (7–36V) with low-voltage disconnect, ignition sense, and transient protection up to +200 VDC.
- Integrated GNSS with accelerometer and gyro supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou. SMA connectors support high-gain and multi-band antenna configurations.
Networking & Routing
- The MP70 supports advanced routing functions including static and policy routing, NAT, VLANs, and IP passthrough. It features integrated DHCP, VPN support (IPsec, GRE, OpenVPN), SNMP, and support for ALEOS Application Framework (AAF) and custom event-driven logic via the built-in Events Engine.
- Firewall, MAC filtering, trusted IPs, and FIPS 140-2 support ensure secure deployments that meet public safety and enterprise compliance needs.
Management & Configuration
- The MP70 runs on ALEOS and is managed through AirLink Management Service (ALMS), with a 1-year AirLink Complete subscription included. This enables remote configuration, firmware updates, health monitoring, and secure out-of-band management. AirLink Premium is available for organizations requiring fleet-wide reporting and same-day replacement.
Connectivity Requirements
To operate the AirLink MP70 on CBRS or cellular networks, you’ll need:
